At the International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2025, the High-Level Discussion on Industrialising Indonesia’s Energy Transition gathered senior government, SOEs, business, and policy leaders to align an industrial growth model powered by clean energy and enabled by clean technologies. Hosted by the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs with support from ICGD, INDEF, and Systemiq, the session focused on embedding strategy in special economic zones, calibrating fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, integrating clean-tech manufacturing and deployment with the power system, and agreeing near-term collaborative actions and a clear roadmap for delivery. ICGD is committed to helping translate this agenda into an actionable implementation plan and coordinated execution across government, SOEs, and industry.

At the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum 2025, ICGD, GIZ Indonesia & ASEAN, Systemiq, and WRI Indonesia joined Bappenas, APINDO, BYD Indonesia, and Sinar Mas Land/Green Building Council Indonesia to discuss how the climate transition can become one of the greatest engines of job creation this decade through investment in people.
